A New Generation of Creative Leadership in the Bronx

Our January production of Honk, Jr. marked the first time in a decade that I wasn't personally running the ship for a Bronx Prep show. My fellow creative instigator Julie Feltman, who has worked with us for many years coaching vocals, designing sets and teaching kids to use power tools, has come on as Academy's main adult leader this year as I spend some extra time with my growing brood on the homefront. I've had the privilege of mentoring Julie as she provides mentoring to our talented team of high school kids, who are in turn mentoring our middle school performers!

Special thanks Rosie, Lou and the staff of The Point, and to the audience members--including lots of returning alumni--who packed the theater at The Point and cheered on our performers. Rock on, BP Fam!

A surprise visit from last year's directing mentor Ashley, home from college!
